Missouri to Host Womens Shooting Academy in Columbia This June

The spring hunting season for turkeys is heading down the home stretch with harvest numbers currently similar to last year. Tennessee turkey hunters are looking to surpass the 30,000 harvest mark for the 14th consecutive year. Virginia York River Preserve   The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) announced its purchase of over 2,600 acres of land in eastern New Kent County. This acquisition, approved by the VDGIF board for the price of $9.3 million dollars, includes more than 2 miles of frontage on the York River in addition to 5 miles along the Ware and Philbates creeks. The property contains substantial tidal and upland wildlife habitat and will be a significant addition to the VDGIF’s Wildlife Management Area system. Arizona Paper Applications for 2016 Fall Hunts Now Accepted

The Arizona Game and Fish Department has posted the 2016-17 Arizona Hunting Regulations online. The department now is accepting paper applications for 2016 hunt permit-tags issued through the draw process for deer, fall turkey, fall javelina, bighorn sheep, fall bison and pheasant (the draw process for elk and pronghorn antelope took place in mid-April). Minnesota State Parks Offer a Fishing Opener for Everyone
