Southern California SHARE Wild Pig Hunts Offered

California wild pig   The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is now accepting applications for upcoming wild pig hunts. The hunts will be held on Tejon Ranch and Baeke Ranch in Southern California. The hunts are offered through CDFW’s Shared Habitat Alliance for Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) program.

Tejon Ranch, in Kern County is offering semi-guided wild pig hunts on June 27-29 and October 24-26. Located 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Bakersfield, hunters will have access to approximately 100,000 acres of the ranch for these hunts. Applications for Connecticut Deer Hunting Lottery Open

Connecticut 2016 deer lottery permit applications can be submitted online since Jan 1st. ADULT licensed firearms hunters over the age of 17 can apply individually or as a group. Delaware Hunting on State Park Lands

The Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation allows hunting on its lands as a tool for wildlife management. It is permitted only when compatible with Division management objectives. All hunters wishing to hunt on State Park lands must first register for the Delaware State Parks Hunting Program. There is a $10 charge for registration. Nevada Bassett and Comins Lakes Stocked - First Time Since 2007

Nevada Comins Lake   In late April, as part of an ongoing project to restore Comins Lake to its status as a trophy trout fishery in Nevadas high desert, the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) stocked the lake for the first time since 2007. We stocked 10,000 trout, including some surplus brood stock that averaged a pound and a half each, said Heath Korell, NDOW fisheries biologist. PA new record perch  A Yellow Perch caught in Eries Presque Isle Bay has been named by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) as the new state record for the species.
