Indiana Proposes 2016 Migratory Bird & Waterfowl Hunting Season Dates

Kentucky Seeks Public Input on Ruffed Grouse Restoration Plan

Ruffled Grouse  The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is seeking public input on a draft of its new Ruffed Grouse and Young Forest Strategic Plan. The draft plan, written by wildlife biologists with input gained during a series of public meetings held last year, calls for partnerships to increase the amount of young forests that are critical for grouse populations. Montana Boat Owners Need Validation Decals

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks wants to remind motorboat, sailboat or personal watercraft owners that they must have the Montana Boat Validation decals properly displayed on their watercraft. Boaters who have permanently registered their boats, sailboats, or PWC must obtain two free boat validation decals every three years at FWP regional and area offices, or by going to the FWP website. Boat owners who order validation decals on the FWP website will receive the decals in the mail. Information included on a current boat registration receipt issued by the County Treasurer is needed to obtain the decals in person or on FWP's website.... READ MORE

Three New Mexico Deer Hunts Removed from June 22 Leftover License Sale

The Department of Game and Fish has revised the list of available leftover hunting licenses that are scheduled to be sold June 22. Deer hunt codes DER-3-194, DER-3-200 and DER-3-307 will not be available when the leftover sale begins June 22. Alaska GMU 22 Caribou Hunting Regulation Changes Effective July 1

caribou  Alaska residents who hunt in Game Management Unit 22 are reminded that new caribou hunting regulations go into effect next month. Beginning July 1, 2016, the new regulations incorporate several significant changes including a requirement that residents hunting caribou in GMU 22 possess a registration hunting permit. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, in cooperation with the Arkansas Bowhunters Association and Bull Shoals Urban Bowhunters Association, has opened the registration for 2016-17 urban deer hunts held across the state. SHARE Program Offers Elk Hunts in Northern California

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Shared Habitat Alliance for Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) program is now taking applications for 37 elk hunting opportunities. The hunts will take place Aug. 15 through Dec. 13, 2016 on 21 properties in Colusa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino and Siskiyou counties.
