New Mexico Anglers Urged to Catch Fish in Santa Fe River Before it Goes Dry

The Department of Game and Fish has issued an emergency salvage order allowing the public to harvest an unlimited amount of fish by any means from the Santa Fe River between Camino Cabra and Camino Alire from June 22-30. The salvage order was requested by the City of Santa Fe as water flowing into the riverbed from upstream reservoirs will be insufficient to sustain fish. Canadian Morel Hunter Escapes Hungry Wolf By Leading It to a Bear

For Canadian morel hunter Joanne Barnaby, it was being stalked by a wolf for no less than 12 hours, and leading that animal straight into a confrontation with a mother bear. Barnaby and her friend Tammy Caudron decided to take advantage of a wildfire burn near Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, and gather some morels. The two arrived in the area on June 10 and spent 3 hours with Barnaby’s dog, Joey, harvesting these much-coveted mushrooms. Tennessee Teen Sets New State Record for Rainbow Trout

TN-J Morgan & record trout  The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has confirmed a new state record rainbow trout, caught by 15-year-old Benton resident John Morgan in Polk County on Friday, June 17. Hawaii Bowhunter ED Certification Now Available Online
