The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 11 at Cheatham Lake Wildlife Management Area. Tennessee Angler Catches Possible New State Record Perch

A new state record yellow perch is being verified by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. The fish measured 15 and one-half inches in length and weighed 2 pounds, 3 ounces. Trent McCoy caught the fish in Lake Dartmore just north of Crossville on Monday, Jan. 16. The previous record, a 2 pound, 2 ounce -yellow perch was set by Jackie Kersey at Parksville Lake, Polk County in March 2010. Arizona Deer, Elk Clear of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD)

The Arizona Game and Fish Department has announced that Arizona continues to be clear of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), a neurodegenerative wildlife disease that is fatal to deer and elk. Department officials did not find any cases of CWD in the 750-plus deer (mule and white-tailed) and elk that were harvested by hunters and voluntarily submitted for testing in 2016.
