Massachusetts 2017 Pheasant Hunting Season Opens Oct 14 and runs through Nov 25. Hunting on Sundays is prohibited. Every year, MassWildlife stocks about 40,000 ring-necked pheasants statewide. NRA Backs New Gun Regulation After Las Vegas Shooting

The National Rifle Association has released a statement saying they support the new rules regarding bump-stock regulation, and calls for a federal review by the ATF. The longtime and popular tradition of pheasant hunting in Wisconsin will again take center stage when the fall 2017 pheasant hunting season opens statewide at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. The season will run through Dec. 31, with the possibility of being extended until Jan. 7, 2018. A 2017 Pheasant Stamp is required to hunt pheasants statewide, as well as a valid small game license. Colorado Providing Hunting License Refunds for Those Affected by Hurricanes & Western Wildfires
by TBC Press on 09/22/17Colorado Parks and Wildlife is issuing hunting license refunds and preference point restoration exceptions for hunters who had their Colorado hunts cancelled due to Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, or one of the many wildfires burning in our western states. Florida Gulf County Bay Scallop Season Opens Sept 23

The 2017 season was postponed earlier this year due to a naturally occurring algae bloom (Pseudo-nitzschia) in St. Joseph Bay that affects shellfish. Recent samples have indicated that the scallops in St. Joseph Bay are safe for human consumption and meet FDA requirements for opening harvest in the bay.
