Massachusetts 2017 Pheasant Hunting Season Opens Oct 14 and runs through Nov 25. Hunting on Sundays is prohibited. Every year, MassWildlife stocks about 40,000 ring-necked pheasants statewide. These birds stocked on public and private lands that are open to hunting. Pheasants are paid for entirely by revenue from license fees.
