Minnesota 2017 Bowhunters have Record Success at Camp Ripley

Minnesota archers took 263 deer during this year’s archery hunts in October at Camp Ripley Military Reservation near Little Falls, representing a 132 percent increase from last year’s total harvest. There were 2,570 permits issued, with 2,011 hunters participating. Minnesota Hunters & Others Asked to Report Bear Den locations near Grand Rapids  Minnesota hunters and other recreationist's spending time outdoors this fall are asked to report the locations of occupied bear dens they encounter in and around the Chippewa National Forest, north of Grand Rapids. Missouri Turkey Hunters Harvest 2,899 Birds During 2017 Fall Firearms Season

Preliminary data from the Missouri (MDC) shows that hunters checked 2,899 turkeys during Missouri’s fall firearms turkey season, Oct. 1-31. Top harvest counties were Greene with 100, Texas with 95, and Dent with 94. Last year’s fall firearms turkey harvest total was 3,698. New Mexico Anglers Urged to Catch Fish in Estancia Park Pond as Water Level Drops

The Department of Game and Fish has issued an emergency salvage order allowing the public to harvest an unlimited amount of fish by any means through Nov. 10 from Estancia Park Pond. CWD Found in Wyoming Deer Hunt Area between Lovell & Greybull  The Wyoming Game and Fish Department diagnosed chronic wasting disease (CWD) for the first time in Deer Hunt Area 52 on the western slope of the Bighorn Mountains. The Game and Fish Wildlife Health Laboratory confirmed CWD in a mule deer buck harvested by a hunter on Oct. 16 near Crystal Creek on public land. New Hampshire 2017 Moose Hunters were 68% Successful  New Hampshire’s 2017 moose season wrapped up with hunters taking a total of 37 moose – 25 bulls and 12 cows – according to preliminary numbers from New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Moose Biologist Kristine Rines. That means that hunters achieved a 68.5% success rate during the 9-day season.
