Alaska Bear Hunting Regulation Changes Are NOT Extreme  While not surprising, another unbelievable and untrue headline has emerged concerning Alaska and bear hunting regulations.“Trump administration makes it easier for hunters to kill bear cubs and wolf pups in Alaska,” with the tagline, “A ban against luring mothers from their dens with doughnuts and other treats will be lifted.”  The Trump administration is scaling back the expanded federal regulations to match the state regulations. Great American Outdoors Act Approved by Senate, Moves to House

Last week, Senators voted to pass the Great American Outdoors Act, thanks in large part to the support from hunters, anglers and dedicated conservationists. In overwhelming fashion, the bill was passed by a vote of 73-25, and this legislation is now on its way to the House of Representatives. If signed, the Great American Outdoors Act  will allocate billions of dollars to directly support outdoor recreation in two major ways. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is accepting applications for Elbow Slough Wildlife Management Area (WMA) lottery dove hunts for the 2020-21 hunting season. Oklahoma Approves Regulations Changes for 2020 Fall Turkey Hunting

Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commissioners voted to reduce or alter wild turkey hunting bag limits in large areas of western Oklahoma during their regular June 17 meeting in Oklahoma City. Deadline to apply for Vermont 2020 Moose permit applications is July 8, 2020. Applications are available online at the Fish & Wildlife Department’s website for the hunt limited to Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) E in the northeastern corner of the state. The department will issue 55 either-sex moose hunting permits in WMU E for the moose seasons this October, which is expected to result in the harvest of 30-35 moose. Lottery applications for hunting permits are $10 for residents and $25 for nonresidents.
