North Carolina Delayed-Harvest Trout Waters Open June 4
by TBC Press on 05/19/16On June 4 the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will open 34 trout streams and two lakes classified as delayed-harvest trout waters under hatchery-supported regulations. From 6 a.m. until 11:59 a.m. on June 4, delayed-harvest trout waters are open only to anglers 15 years old and younger. At noon, waters open to all anglers. North Dakota Angler Snags Record Paddlefish

Grant Werkmeister of Williston snagged a record 131-pound paddlefish on May 7, about 20 miles southwest of Williston near the confluence of the Yellowstone and Missouri rivers. Rhode Island regulates the manner of hunting in order to efficiently manage the wildlife. Vermont Anglers Reminded of Lake Sturgeon Protection Law

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is reminding anglers of the state regulation applying to lake sturgeon, as well as the need to help protect the endangered species through responsible angling practices and by reporting catch information to the Department.
