Gag grouper will open for recreational harvest in most state and all federal Gulf of Mexico waters June 1. The black grouper and gag minimum size limit will increase from 22-inches to 24-inches total length in Gulf state waters starting June 1, to match recent changes in Gulf federal waters. Musky size is on the rise in Wisconsin and that means the potential for a big bite is better than ever as the northern season gets underway on Saturday, May 28. In Wisconsin, the musky season is divided into northern and southern zones in recognition of differences in water temperatures and spawning dates. The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board approved deer hunting season framework and antlerless deer quotas for 2016 at its May 25 meeting in Madison.
