Mississippi Alligator Hunting Permits On Sale July 19

Alligator hunting in Mississippi is by special permit only. For 2016, public water alligator hunting permits will be available only through an on-line first-come-first-serve purchase process.  These special permits will go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. on July 19, 2016, via the MDWFP website and will remain on sale till all available permits are sold. Indiana New Black Bass Size Limits for Shakamak State Park Lakes

Shakamak, Kickapoo and Lenape lakes in Shakamak State Park now have a 14-inch minimum length limit for black bass. The change became effective July 1 as a way to help control gizzard shad populations in the park.  The previous regulation involved a 12- to 15-inch slot limit.
