Minnesota to Open Mille Lacs Lake for Winter Walleye Fishing

The opening day of the regular firearms hunting season, a big day for New Hampshire's 58,000+ hunters, will occur on November 9, 2016. Oregon / Washington Reopens Columbia River for Coho & Steelhead Fishing

Recreational coho salmon and steelhead fishing will reopen at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 5 on the mainstem Columbia River from the mouth at Buoy 10 upstream to the Hwy. 395 Bridge at Pasco Wash., under rules adopted today by fishery managers from Oregon and Washington. Washington Closes Razor Clam Digging Nov 12-16: Other Openings Depend on Further Testing

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has canceled five days (Nov. 12-16) from a razor clam dig that was tentatively planned at Twin Harbors and Long Beach, due to elevated marine toxin levels. However, shellfish managers still hope to move forward with three days of digging (Nov. 17-19) at four Washington ocean beaches, pending the results of further testing for domoic acid. Dungeness crab  The California recreational Dungeness crab season is scheduled to open statewide on Saturday, Nov. 5 – with a health warning in place for crabs caught north of Point Reyes (Marin County).
