Wisconsin to Release Additional Pheasants for the 2018 Holiday Season  The Wisconsin DNR staff will help bird hunters beat cabin fever this December - 2,160 pheasants will be stocked on eight different properties in southern Wisconsin during the week leading up to the winter holidays. The pheasant season runs through January 6, 2019. Hunters are encouraged to wear blaze orange while upland bird hunting to increase visibility with other hunters.
