Wisconsin 2019 Resident Elk Hunting Applications Open May 1  Following the state's first elk hunting season in history, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced preparations for another hunt this fall. For a chance to participate, interested Wisconsin resident hunters are encouraged to submit their elk hunting application starting May 1 -31.
