Virginia Reports 3 New CWD Positives in Frederick County
by TBC Press on 02/12/16Three new cases of chronic wasting disease (CWD) were detected in Frederick County during the 2015 deer hunting season. Two deer were harvested by hunters and the third was killed by a vehicle. All three deer were located within 2 miles of the West Virginia state line. In total, 13 CWD-positive deer have been detected in Virginia since CWD was first discovered in western Frederick County in fall 2009. READ MORE
