Virginia Proposed 2019-20 September Early Teal Season

The Virginia Department of Game & Inland Fisheries staff has proposed the Migratory Game Bird Seasons and Bag Limits for the 2019-20 hunting seasons. Blue-winged teal are one of the earliest migrants. Many pass through Virginia from late August through October, prior to the opening of the late duck season.
