Tanzania Lifts VAT on Hunting Industry

The18% Value Added Tax being levied on hunting fees and services in Tanzania has been lifted. Minister of Finance and Planning Philip Mpango  recently announced the decision before the parliament of Tanzania. Hunters going to Tanzania this season should be aware that while that 18% Value Added Tax will not be applied to things such as licenses and government trophy fees, it will still be applied to true tourism-related services and goods.
