South Dakota Grouse Season Opens Sept 17

The South Dakota prairie and ruffed grouse hunting seasons open on Sept. 17 and will run through Jan. 1, 2017. The daily limit for prairie and ruffed grouse is three with a possession limit of 15. Shooting hours are from sunrise to sunset and those times can be found in the 2016 Hunting and Trapping Handbook. The sage grouse hunting season opens for a two-day season on Sept. 17 and will close on Sept. 18.
