South Dakota Celebrates 100 Years of Pheasant Hunting as 2018 Season gets Underway

Nearly 100 years later, the tradition and the number of bagged roosters has grown immensely. South Dakota’s traditional statewide pheasant hunting season began Oct 22 and runs through Jan. 6, 2019.
