South Dakota 2021 Archery Elk season opens Sept 1st - Sep 30, 2021. Custer State Park Archery - Sep 1, 2021 - Sept 30 and Regular Archery Season - Sep 1, 2021 - Sept 30. Elk are found primarily in the Black Hills; however, limited herds occupy prairie landscapes in Fall River, Meade, Butte, Bennett and Gregory counties.
