Oklahoma Spring Turkey Season Outlook as Southeast Region Opens April 18

The Oklahoma general spring turkey hunting season opened April 6 to May 6 in all areas except the Southeast Region. The Southeast Region opens April 18 - May 6 (2016). Based on field reports submitted in the past few days by Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation personnel, warmer conditions lately have put turkeys in most areas ahead of normal for spring breeding activity.
