A project to improve the infrastructure of the Catfish Lake waterfowl impoundment will delay hunting opportunities until late December. The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and Ducks Unlimited, is replacing six water control structures, pumps and power units on the 800-acre impoundment located within the Croatan National Forest in Jones County.
