Massachusetts First Bear Season Open Now Through Sept 24

Coastal black bear  In 2015, Black Bear hunting expanded in both length and area. Bears may be hunted statewide in all Wildlife Management Zones and may be hunted during the shotgun season for deer. The first bear season is from September 6–24, the second season is from November 7–26, and the shotgun season is from November 28 – December 10.
