Florida Wildlife Commission Seeks Information on Anacondas in Brevard County

   Two green anacondas were found recently in Brevard County, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) wants your help in learning more about them. On Feb. 3, an 8-foot, 8-inch green anaconda was turned over to FWC officials after its capture in Brevard County. The snake was collected in a Melbourne neighborhood called Oxford Ridge.The nonnative snake was euthanized and turned over to biologists for research regarding reproductive status, overall health and gut content.
