Minnesota Second DNR Confiscated Hunting, Fishing Equipment Auction Oct 24

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will hold its second and final auction of confiscated fishing, hunting and trapping equipment on Oct. 24. The auction, which is online in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, includes 252 firearms and 39 bows that were confiscated following serious game and fish violations. Minnesota 2020 Whitefish, tullibee Sport-Netting to Open on Select Tower Area Lakes

The Minnesota DNR has set dates for recreational netting for whitefish and tullibee (cisco) on seven lakes in the Tower DNR fisheries work area. These lakes are Schedule I Lakes, which are more susceptible to sudden changes in water temperatures. All of northern Nevada is now open to 2020-21 waterfowl hunting for the season! The season opener for northwest Nevada is was Oct. 10. The season is well underway in the eastern side of the state. A hunter of ducks, mergansers, geese, swans, coots, moorhen (gallinules) or snipe shall use nontoxic shot in muzzleloaders or in shells for a shotgun when hunting in this state. REMINDER: Alabama 2020 Flounder Harvest Closes for Month of November

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ (ADCNR) Marine Resources Division (MRD) would like to remind anglers of the flounder changes that were adopted on August 1, 2019.  Flounder will be closed for harvest during the entire month of November for both commercial and recreational fishermen.  The harvest of flounder will resume on December 1, 2020, at 12:01am.  The recreational size limit for flounder is 14 inches total length, and the daily bag limit is five per person.  The commercial size limit is... READ MORE

Connecticut 2020-21 Late waterfowl hunting for  Ducks, Mergansers, and Coots opens Nov 7 in the North Zone and runs through Jan 7.  In the South Zone the Late season opens Nov. 17 - Jan. 20. Connecticut 2020 Saturday Pheasant Hunting Underway through Nov 14

The Connecticut 2020 permit-based Saturday program continues from October 17th - November 14th, however, hunting times will be shortened and fewer individuals will be allowed to hunt during each time period to increase safety during the pandemic.  Areas will be stocked on Saturday morning and prior to each hunting group. Toyota Bassmaster Texas Fest at Lake Fork Nov 5-8

The Toyota Bassmaster Texas Fest (TBTF) is heading back to Lake Fork for the second year in a row, bringing world class bass fishing, shopping, and a variety of outdoor activities to Texas’ most iconic bass fishing lake. Applications Open for Utah 2021 Sportsman Permits

Utah hunters can begin submitting applications for 2021 sportsman permits. To be included in the permit drawing, you have to submit your application no later than 11 p.m. on Nov. 10. Only Utah Residents may apply. You can apply for permits on the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources website or over the phone by calling the nearest DWR regional office. The Georgia deer firearms season opened Sat., Oct. 17 and continues through Jan. 10, 2021 statewide. As much as our lives have been disrupted this year thankfully we still have deer season to look forward to. The Illinois (IDNR) recently announced changes to controlled pheasant hunting for the 2020-21 hunting season. The changes, health and safety protocols implemented in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, will provide greater protection to both the hunting public and site staff during the season. The Illinois (IDNR) recently announced changes to 2020-2021 deer hunting procedures at state sites. The changes, health and safety protocols implemented in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, will provide greater protection to both the hunting public and site staff during the season.
