South Dakota now accepting applications for the 2020 Deer Hunting Season through June 12. You can apply ONLINE at South Dakota Hunt Planner. The commission has also made changes to the East RIver antlerless deer tags. In an effort to reduce mule deer doe harvest during the east river deer hunting season, the GFP Commission passed an administrative action converting all any antlerless deer licenses to “antlerless whitetail deer” licenses. Arkansas Approves 2020-21 Hunting Regulations Changes

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission voted recently approved many changes to the Commission’s Code of Regulations, including many wildlife regulations that may impact hunters during the 2020-21 hunting seasons. California CDFW Lifts Fishing Delay in Mono County

California CDFW Director Charlton H. Bonham has lifted the delay of the trout opener in Mono County. As of May 23, trout season opened in the county. CDFW, in consultation with Fish and Game Commission President Eric Sklar, originally delayed the opener through May 31, 2020. Most anglers dream of the perfect catch, but simple mistakes can prevent you from reeling in that trophy fish. New AIS Rules for Montana Nonresident Boaters and Anglers

Nonresident boaters and anglers will see new aquatic invasive species rules when they visit Montana this year. New this year, nonresidents launching watercraft in Montana must purchase a Vessel AIS Prevention Pass. The Montana Legislature reduced the fee nonresident anglers pay for the Angler Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Pass (AISPP). Montana Nonresident Hunters have until July 7 to Sign Up for Alternate’s List

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks gets a number of unused nonresident combination licenses (big game combination, general elk and general deer) returned by customers each year. Utah Increases Daily Limit to 8 Trout at Mammoth Creek

The daily limit has increased to eight trout on a portion of Mammoth Creek, which will allow anglers to catch and keep more fish before the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources treats the river with rotenone to remove its remaining fish. Utah will begin accepting applications on Thursday, May 28 at 8 a.m. for 2020 antlerless hunts. You can apply for a permit to hunt cow elk, cow moose, doe deer, doe pronghorn and, for the first time, ewe bighorn sheep, in Utah. CDFW Accepting Applications for Special Draw Deer Hunt on the Knoxville WA

The California CDFW is now accepting applications for a limited, lottery draw deer hunt scheduled for opening week of the A-Zone general deer season on the Knoxville Wildlife area in Napa County. Applications are being accepted until June 20, 2020. Only 120 hunt permits will be issued for the special lottery draw. The hunt permit is valid for the single hunt period, August 8-14, 2020. Colorado Opens New Fruita Boat Ramps

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is pleased to announce that the project to build two new boat ramps at the Fruita section of the James M Robb Colorado River State Park has been completed in just eight weeks, finishing up in time for the rafting season, peak Colorado River catfish season, and the final two weeks of the spring turkey season. The Maryland DNR is now accepting offshore waterfowl blind and shoreline license applications for riparian (waterfront) property owners.
