South Dakota now accepting applications for the 2020 Deer Hunting Season through June 12. You can apply ONLINE at South Dakota Hunt Planner. See below for the 2020 Deer hunting online application dates and schedule.
The commission has also made changes to the East RIver antlerless deer tags. In an effort to reduce mule deer doe harvest during the east river deer hunting season, the Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) Commission passed an administrative action converting all “any antlerless deer” licenses to “antlerless whitetail deer” licenses.
The action does not affect the total number of licenses available or licenses that allow the harvest of a buck. The GFP Commission and Department will continue discussions on the management of mule deer and consider additional modifications early next year for future hunting seasons.

As OUR COUNTRY SLOWLY STARTS to REOPEN AGAIN (from the COVID-19 pandemic) and continue to enjoy outdoor activities, ALL outdoorsmen (man, woman, child) should follow the guidelines set by nps.gov. These guidelines include; social distancing, the Leave No Trace principles, including pack-in and pack-out, to keep outdoor spaces safe and healthy.
