Florida 2020 Recreational Red Snapper Season Opens in Gulf

The Florida recreational Red Snapper Season opens June 11 in Gulf state and federal waters and remain open through July 25, closing July 26. Florida 2020 Bay Scallop Season Opens June 15 in Two Counties

The Florida 2020 recreational bay scallop season for Dixie County and a portion of Taylor County opens June 15 and will remain open through Labor Day (Sept. 7, 2020). This includes all state waters from the Suwannee River to the Fenholloway River and includes the towns of Keaton Beach and Steinhatchee. Minnesota Deer Feeding and Attractant Bans Expand to Help Fight CWD

Following the discovery of chronic wasting disease in a wild deer in Dakota County in March, the Minnesota DNR will expand current deer feeding and attractant bans to include Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Rice, Scott and Washington counties beginning July 1. In counties where deer feeding is banned, people need to remove any grains, fruits, nuts and other food placed in ways that could entice deer. Hunters Register for Montana 2020 Game Damage Roster Starting June 15

Hunters interested in participating in “game-damage” hunts on private land or possible management hunts this year have from June 15 to July 15 to register online with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. Hunters from this roster may be identified for three types of hunts: game damage, management and dispersal. Pennsylvania Angler Reels in State Record Flathead Catfish   The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) has certified a new state record flathead catfish. On May 24, 2020, angler Jonathan Pierce, 34, of Philadelphia, was fishing from the bank of the Schuylkill River at East Falls. Pierce baited a brown trout head onto an 8/0 circle hook and cast his heavy duty, 10-foot, 6-inch surf rod lined with 50-pound braided fishing line and 20-foot, 60-pound test monofilament leader into approximately 12 feet of water. TFWC Sets 2020 Hunting and Trapping Regulations

The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission has established the state’s 2020-21 and 2021-22 hunting and trapping regulations. Among the new regulations, the CWD unit for deer hunting is expanded to include Crockett, Gibson, and Lauderdale counties. The addition brings the number to 11 counties in Unit CWD. The Utah Wildlife Board recently approved several changes to upland game and turkey hunting in the state including extensions and changes to some season dates for upland game, as well as a few other items.
