Kentucky 2020-21 General Waterfowl Hunting Season Opens Nov 26

The Kentucky 2020-21 waterfowl season for DUCK, COOTS & MERGANSER opens Nov 26-29 and then reopens Dec 7 through Jan 31, 2021. SHOOTING HOURS: are one-half hour before sunrise to sunset. for Snow Goose Conservation Order one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
YOUTH WATERFOWL SEASONS
Hunters age 15 and younger can hunt ducks, coots, mergansers and geese on these days (Eastern Zone: November 7-8, 2020; Western Zone: February 6-7, 2021). Youth hunting during these seasons must comply with hunter education and hunting license requirements and be accompanied by an adult (at least 18 years of age). Bag limits are the same as for regular duck and goose seasons.
NEW for 2020-21 Season -- From Nov. 26-29 and Dec. 7-17, the daily bag limit is 1 scaup. From Dec. 18, 2020 – Jan. 31, 2021 the daily bag limit is 2 scaup.
Those who buy a Kentucky Migratory Bird/Waterfowl Permit, senior/disabled license, or Sportsman's license MUST COMPLETE a Harvest Information Program Survey (HIP) by going online at https://app.fw.ky.gov/myprofile/default.aspx?red=HipSurvey before they are legal waterfowl hunters.
