Ohio 2020-21 Early Teal & Canada Goose Hunting Opens Sept 5th

In addition to the requirements above, to hunt waterfowl in Ohio, you must also have the following:
Waterfowl hunting is permitted when seasons are open during the youth deer gun season, the deer gun season, and the deer muzzleloader season.

As OUR COUNTRY REOPENS AGAIN (from the COVID-19 pandemic) and continue to enjoy outdoor activities, ALL outdoor enthusiasts (man, woman, child) should follow the guidelines set by nps.gov. These guidelines include; social distancing, the Leave No Trace principles, including pack-in and pack-out, to keep outdoor spaces safe and healthy.
Ohio 2020-21 waterfowl/migratory bird hunting opens with early teal & Canada goose hunting Sept 5. Early goose hunting runs through Sept 13 with a daily limit of 5. Early teal runs through Sept 20 with a daily limit of 6
No person on the opening day of the season shall possess any freshly killed migratory game birds in excess of the daily bag limit, or aggregate daily bag limit, whichever applies.
To hunt migratory birds in Ohio, you must have the following:
- Harvest Information Program (HIP) certification. To complete the HIP certification requirement, call 1-877-HIP-OHIO (1-877-447-6446) or go to wildohio.gov
