The management area will now maintain previously allowed hunting access and the South Zone waterfowl seasons dates outlined in the 2020-2021 season regulations (pdf). The upcoming September goose season is NOT affected by this change and hunters are permitted to pursue geese here beginning Tuesday, September 1.

News # 13831
The New Jersey managed waterfowl hunt, originally scheduled to be implemented this fall on the Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area, has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The plan involved three impoundments on the Tuckahoe side and three on the Corbin City side of the WMA (see map).

The managed hunt, including a pre-season lottery for blind reservations on the WMA, was scheduled to kick start the program's implementation for the South Zone duck season. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, barriers have persisted to properly implement the program. Staff involved have explored many other options to successfully move forward with the managed hunting opportunity and navigate those barriers. However, it was decided that the program will be postponed until fall 2021.
