In Nevada, big game tags are distributed through a random, computerized draw process, handled by a private company, Kalkomey Enterprises, LLC. You can learn more about Nevada's draw system here.

Mountain lions are also a big game species. Mountain lion tags are readily available online at ndowlicensing.com, or over the counter at local license agents. Call 1-800-800-1667 to identify open hunt units.

Results from this draw are usually available the end of May or beginning of June. For more information see; http://www.ndow.org/Hunt/Applications/Application_Process_and_Deadlines/

The Nevada big game application period opens Monday, March 16 at ndowlicensing.com

NDOW has multiple resources to help you apply, including the Big Game Hunting Regulationsbonus point data, Big Game Application Seminars on March 25 in Reno and Las Vegas (see page 34 of regulations book), and more.

Hunters need a tag to hunt Nevada's big game populations like mule deer, bighorn sheep, elk, mountain goats or pronghorn antelope.
