  A new record catfish has been caught at Lake Mary Crawford!  Mr. Richard Albritton of Bogue Chitto, MS caught the 14.4 pound channel catfish on March 19, 2017.  Lake Mary Crawford is a 128-acre state fishing lake located near Monticello. The recreational sturgeon season in the John Day Pool will close effective 12:01 a.m. Thursday March 30, under rules announced Monday by fishery managers from Oregon and Washington.   The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has diagnosed chronic wasting disease (CWD) in a mule deer doe that was found dead near Pinedale. As part of its CWD Management Plan, Game and Fish increased CWD monitoring on and around the state’s elk feedgrounds and big game winter ranges this year. To accomplish this goal, Game and Fish hired additional technicians in the Jackson and Pinedale regions and one of those technicians removed a dead doe mule deer from a person’s yard near the Pinedale airport in February. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will be reopening its newest marina this summer, and entries will be accepted during the month of April for the boat dock lottery.
