  The Maryland Department of Natural Resources confirmed a new white perch nontidal state fishing record was set April 7. George Venker of Baltimore caught a white perch weighing 1.9 pounds at Loch Raven Reservoir in Baltimore County. Hunters who applied for New Mexico big-game licenses will know their draw results early this spring through to the Department of Game and Fish online license application system. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is now accepting applications for a limited number of deer and pig hunt access permits on opening weekend, Aug. 12–13, 2017 in Zone A for the general season.   General turkey season opens Saturday, April 15, and you can see units that have general hunts in our turkey hunting rules , as well as details about the seasons.   ODFW releases its 2016 Wolf Annual Report and a Draft Revised Wolf Management Plan.   Under provisions of the Pacific Salmon Treaty, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) announces that the preseason Chinook salmon all-gear harvest limit for Southeast Alaska in 2017 is 209,700 fish.
