Maryland State Record White Perch Caught in Baltimore County  The Maryland Department of Natural Resources confirmed a new white perch nontidal state fishing record was set April 7. George Venker of Baltimore caught a white perch weighing 1.9 pounds at Loch Raven Reservoir in Baltimore County. Priest Lake anglers can expect Kokanee fishing to be similar to what they found last year. Idaho Fish and Game Kokanee monitoring efforts suggest Kokanee numbers remain low, but the fish that are caught should be good sized (likely 14-16"). Although a small increase in Kokanee abundance was observed between 2011 and 2013 in Priest Lake, the upward trend hasn't continued in recent years. Southeast Alaska 2017 Chinook Salmon All Gear Harvest Limit  Under provisions of the Pacific Salmon Treaty, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) announces that the preseason Chinook salmon all-gear harvest limit for Southeast Alaska in 2017 is 209,700 fish. This year's all-gear harvest limit is 146,000 fish lower than the preseason limit available in 2016.
