The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department has set final season dates and bag limits for the 2017-18 waterfowl hunting season. New Hampshire's fall waterfowl season will be similar to last year's for regular ducks and Canada goose. The North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s spring bighorn sheep survey revealed a minimum of 296 bighorn sheep in western North Dakota, up slightly from last year and 3 percent above the five-year average. Altogether, biologists counted 104 rams, 170 ewes and 22 lambs. Not included are approximately 20 bighorns in the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Poaching Leads to Oregon Fishing Closure on Gilbert River

Under temporary rules that take effect Monday, April 24, the Gilbert River closes to sturgeon fishing, including catch-and-release, year around, and closes to fishing for all species April 24-June 15 and Oct. 1-Dec. 31.
