North Carolina Angler Breaks Blue Catfish Record Twice in Same Day

If Zakk Royce’s experiences are any indication, Lake Gaston holds some monster blue catfish.The Murfreesboro angler caught not one but two state record blue catfishes in a 24-hour period last month. The first fish, caught on Dec. 20, weighed 91 pounds and measured 53 inches in length. On Dec. 21, Royce landed his second state record, a 105-pound blue, measuring 55.75 inches in length.
