Hunters can help in the effort to manage upland game birds in North Dakota by collecting feathers from harvested birds and sending in wing envelopes. Survey Shows Sage-Grouse Counts Up in Northeast Wyoming

Wyoming annual counts of male Greater Sage-grouse dancing at their springtime mating grounds are up in the Powder River Basin and appear to have leveled out across Wyoming after 5% declines in each of the past three years. Overall, counts dropped just 0.3% in 2020, leading Wyoming GFD officials to speculate that this could be the bottom of another trough in the birds’ oscillating population cycle. The Iowa Deer Exchange is the Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ new free online database where deer hunters willing to provide venison can connect with Iowans who want venison. FWC Certifies New State Record Flathead Catfish   Florida FWC fisheries biologists certified a new state record flathead catfish weighing 69.9 pounds, measuring 48.5 inches long, with a girth of 38.25 inches, caught by angler Lavon Nowling from Santa Rosa County. SCDNR 2020 Youth Days for Deer on Private Land Sept 12 & 26

Due to COVID-19 concerns, SCDNR will implement changes in procedure at Public Waterfowl Lottery Hunt site locations.

The S.C. Department of Natural Resources is accepting 2020-2021 public drawing waterfowl hunts. Applications will be accepted online though Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 5PM. SCDNR is using an online application system for public hunts that are conducted on a lottery basis. Applications for hunts are entered under the heading LOTTERY HUNTS using the internet site.
