The Minnesota DNR is now accepting applications for elk hunting licenses in northwestern Minnesota for seasons that will be held from late August to early December. This year’s seasons are structured to allow hunters to have more opportunities to harvest antlerless elk. The DNR is offering 44 elk licenses this year; last year there were 27 offered. Beginning June 1, Louisiana migratory bird hunters, including waterfowl hunters, will be required to complete the Harvest Information Program (HIP) certification process either online or in person at LDWF headquarters in Baton Rouge. Idaho 2020 Capped Elk Zone Tag Regulation Change

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission recently established a five-day waiting period to purchase capped elk zone tags for any resident who applies for a controlled elk hunt regardless of whether the person draws the controlled hunt tag. Capped elk zone tags go on sale in July.
