Young Angler Sets Maryland Record for Florida Pompano  The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has officially recognized 14-year-old Scott Hartzell Jr. of Easton as the first official state record holder for a Florida pompano. Hartzell caught the 3.375-pound fish on Stone Rock near Tilghman Island. Missouri Angler Reels in Record Spotted Gar  The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) announces that Mitchell Dering of Wappapello is the new state-record-holder for spotted gar. North Dakota 2019 Pronghorn and swan applications are now available online at at the departments website. Only North Dakota residents are eligible to apply for a pronghorn license. The pronghorn license fee is $30 for ages 16 and older, and $10 for under age 16. Applicants for a pronghorn lottery license must be at least 12 years of age on or before December 31, 2019. The Ohio Wildlife Council received several new fishing proposals at its meeting July 10, according to the Ohio Division of Wildlife. If approved, proposed regulations will take effect Jan. 1, 2020.
