North Dakota’s 2018 early Canada goose dates are set, and bag limits and licensing requirements are the same as last year. However, one major change from last year is that the state GFD has restructured the Canada goose hunting zones. North Dakota’s 2018 pronghorn hunting season is set, with 1,075 licenses available in 10 open units. The deadline for submitting applications is Aug. 8. In a continuing effort to control deer populations, specifically those affecting native plant communities, the Ohio DNR will coordinate special deer hunts at nine state nature preserves across the state. Ohio State Parks Duck Blind Lotteries Set for Aug 18  The Ohio DNR is holding a lottery for more than 280 permits to hunters wishing to construct a blind to hunt ducks and geese on select Ohio State Park lakes this waterfowl hunting season. All but one of the drawings will be held the morning of Saturday, Aug. 18, at 18 state parks. Portage Lakes will hold its lottery on Thursday, Aug. 16.
