North Dakota’s fall turkey season is set with 3,710 licenses available to hunters, 205 more than last year. The deadline for applying is Sept. 5. Massachusetts Expands Hunting in the Wachusett Reservoir Watershed  The Massachusetts DCR recently opened 7,500 acres of land to hunting in the Wachusett Reservoir Watershed. There are two free permit types available based on the location of the property. (1) A five-year permit for hunting on property both west and east of Interstate 190. The New York commercial black sea bass fishery will reopen on Aug. 27, five days earlier than expected, Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Basil Seggos recently announced.The commercial fishery was previously closed on July 28 due to projected landings approaching the total allowed for Quota Period 3 (July 1 - Aug. 31), but rough weather resulted in much lower landings during the last open week of fishing.
