South Dakota 2018 Pheasant Hunting Season Opens Oct 20  South Dakota’s traditional statewide pheasant hunting season opens on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, and runs through Jan. 6, 2019. According to the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP), this year’s pheasant brood survey shows a 47 percent increase over last year. The Mississippi Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, adopted regulations for the revised Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Management Zone for the 2018-2019 hunting season. Missouri Proposing Regulation that Require Nontoxic Shot for Dove Hunting in 2019

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is proposing regulations that will require the use of nontoxic shot for hunting doves on 20 conservation areas with heavy, concentrated dove hunting.
