The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is hosting a one-time drawing Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 1:00pm for archery deer hunting on the Mercer Wildlife Area. Ohio State Parks Offer Special Archery Hunt Lotteries on Sept 22  Approximately 1,600 acres of quality deer hunting land will be available to archers as part of controlled hunts at Buck Creek, Caesar Creek, Deer Creek, Findley, Malabar Farm and Maumee Bay state parks, according to the Ohio (ODNR). Early data gathered by wildlife agencies in the western basin of Lake Erie indicate great news for Ohio anglers, according to the Ohio (ODNR). Statewide Target Shooting Ban Lifted on WDFW Lands  With cooler temperatures and higher humidity reducing wildfire danger, the Washington (WDFW) lifted target shooting restrictions on WDFW lands Sept 15. A similar target shooting ban was lifted the same day on lands managed by the state DNR. Special Archery Deer Hunting Opens in East Minnesota River Refuge

A special archery deer hunt opened Saturday, Sept. 15 in the East Minnesota River Refuge, according to the Minnesota DNR. The refuge is located in Blue Earth and Le Sueur counties along the east bank of the Minnesota River. It is open to archery hunting until Dec. 31 for taking antlerless deer and legal bucks. The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is allocating three bighorn sheep licenses for the 2018 hunting season, two fewer than 2017. One license is available in Unit B3 and one in B4.
