Dove hunting at Pointe-aux-Chenes Wildlife Management Area (WMA) will not be permitted until further notice due to severe damage to the WMA from Hurricane Ida, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced.
The first split of dove season opened throughout Louisiana on Saturday (Sept. 4).
