Wisconsin Confirms CWD Found in Sheboygan County  The Wisconsin DNR has confirmed that a wild deer tested positive for chronic wasting disease in Plymouth township in Sheboygan County. The CWD-positive deer was an adult doe harvested during the 2019 archery deer season and was tested as a part of the DNR's disease surveillance efforts. AGFC confirms a new case of chronic wasting disease has been found in Independence County. A hunter-harvested white-tailed deer taken east of Oil Trough tested positive for the disease. Oregon Closes North Coast Fall Salmon Fishing Due to Chinook Mortality

Following a recent die-off of Oregon fall Chinook salmon in the Wilson River, excessive pre-spawn mortality of fall Chinook in other nearby rivers has prompted fishery managers to close the entire North Coast to all salmon angling, effective Dec. 13 – 31.
