The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is offering 5,655 wild turkey licenses for the spring hunting season, 30 fewer than last year. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) will accept applications for its Master Hunter Permit Program through Feb. 15, 2018. For Best Chance at Maine Moose Permit for 2018 Apply by Feb 15   While moose are in trouble across most of the US Lower 48, they are holding their own in the state of Maine. Again this year, the state is auctioning off 10 moose permits with the proceeds going to fund state conservation education programs. Missouri Eliminated More than 6,500 Feral Hogs in 2017

The Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) feral hog strike team has tallied up elimination numbers for 2017. The year yielded a total of 6,567 feral hogs removed by MDC, partner agencies and private landowners. In 2016, 5,358 feral hogs were removed from the landscape. Crews in southeast Missouri removed 2,858 feral hogs, which is where the highest density of feral hogs occurs. The Ozark region removed 2,576 and the Southwest region removed 932 feral hogs.
