South Carolina 2018 Coyote Harvest Incentive Program in 2nd Year  For the second year in a row, the S.C. Department of Natural Resources has tagged and released 16 coyotes. Four coyotes have been placed in each game zone as part of the coyote harvest incentive program. The incentive program was created by a Budget Proviso (47.10) passed by the S.C. For the first time, Washington state wildlife managers have found elk on the east side of the Cascade Range infected with a crippling hoof disease that has spread to 11 counties in western Washington over the past decade. Washington 2018 Halibut Season Opens Starting May 3  Anglers fishing for halibut in Washington waters will see a similar season structure as compared to 2017 when fishing gets underway in Marine Area 1 (Columbia River) Thursday, May 3.  As in 2017, marine areas in Puget Sound and on the coast – with the exception of Marine Area 1 – will be open on the same days throughout the season.
