In southeastern New York, the early black bear season runs from Sept. 7 to Sept. 22 in Wildlife Management Units (WMUs) 3A, 3C, 3H, 3J, 3K, 3M, 3P, 3R, 4P, and 4R. Dry conditions in eastern Oregon and declining water levels in Thief Valley Reservoir have prompted local fish biologists to remove daily catch limits on the reservoir starting Wednesday, Sept. 11. Utah Approves Permits for Cougar, Bobcat Hunts in 2019-20  The Utah Wildlife Board approved slightly more cougar permits and slightly fewer bobcat permits for the 2019-20 hunts.
